3100 English 30 or 3115 English 33 or 3300 Francais 30 Students in francophone programs may use Francais 30 instead of English Language Arts 30 or 33 to meet the Diploma requirements. However, these students must use any two of: 1100 English Language Arts 10 2100 English Language Arts 20 and 3100 English Language Arts 30 or 1115 English Language Arts 13 2115 English Language Arts 23 and 3115 English Language Arts 33 to fulfil the 10-credit requirement from any combination of career and technology studies (CTS) or fine arts or second languages or locally developed/acquired and authorized courses. 3150 Social Studies 30 or 3151 Social Studies 33 2200 Mathematics 20 or 2216 Mathematics 23 or 2225 Mathematics 24 The mathematics requirement - Mathematics 20 or 23 or 24 - may also be met with any 10-credit combination of mathematics courses that includes: 1216 Mathematics 13 or 1200 Mathematics 10 2270 Science 20 or 2285 Science 24 or 2231 Biology 20 or 2242 Chemistry 20 or 2261 Physics 20 The science requirement - Science 20 or 24 or Biology 20 or Chemistry 20 or Physics 20 - may also be met with any 10-credit combination of science courses that includes: Science 10 Agriculture 10, 20 and 30 cannot be used to meet the Science requirement. Students must also meet the standard and complete the following: Physical Education 10 (not required of mature students) Career and Life Management (not required of mature students) 10 credits, in any combination from: - career and technology studies (CTS) or - fine arts or second languages or - locally developed/acquired and authorized courses in CTS, fine arts or second languages 10 credits in any 30-level courses (including locally developed) in addition to English 30 or 33 and Social Studies 30 or 33. | |||||||||||||||||||

The diploma certifies that the holder has successfully completed a prescribed programme of instruction. The diploma does not necessarily grant admission to post secondary education institutions.
